Abhas Kumar Kanjilal Ganguly, was was born on 4 August 1929:
an Indian film playback singer and an actor who also worked as lyricist,
composer, producer, director, screenwriter and scriptwriter. Kishore Kumar
sang in many Indian languages. He won 8 Filmfare Award for Best Male
Playback Singer and holds the record for most number of Filmfare Awards
won for that category. Kishore Kumar produced and directed some movies in
the late 1970s and early 1980s. On 13 October 1987, his brother Ashok's
76th birthday, he died of a heart attack in Mumbai at 4:45
pm.
