– India, in 1933. Sister of Asha Posley and Rani Kiran started
her singing career in early 50s and came into prominence when she
sang for Gumnaam (1954) and Sassi (1954) for Master Inayat Hussain
and G.A. Chisthi respectively. Her solos from the film Gumnaam –
Ae chand unsai kehna, Aankhein mila kai pyaar sai, and Chham chhama
chham nach utha are still remembered by music buffs even today. she
was married to notable music director Akhter Hussain Ankhiyan. Unfortunately,
Kauser died very young on December 3, 1963, at the tender age of 30.
